The Sociedade Brasileira de Fisica (SBF) and the American Physical Society (APS) were pleased to announce the launch of the Brazil-U.S. Physics Student Visitation Program this year. Graduate student Kate Rueff is one of this year's recipients.
The APS funding will allow Ms. Rueff to travel early to Rio de Janeiro before the Workshop "The Evolving Universe", to visit the PUC-Rio Physics Department to form new collaborations and networking opportunities, and to provide support to workshop planning committee. She will present a talk at the workshop on "H II Regions in the Thick Disks of Spiral Galaxies".
