Showalter recognized as outstanding teaching assistant

Department of Physics Graduate Student Ms. Allison Showalter has been selected as a recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award. On Wednesday, April 16 forty-four Notre Dame TAs were recognized for their commitment to exceptional teaching in lectures, seminars, labs, and across the academic profession. The awards are presented annually by the Graduate School and the Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning to TAs that are nominated by their departments. Departments may only nominate up to 5% of their TAs for the honor.

Ms. Showalter is advised by Prof. Bruce Bunker, and is pursuing her PhD in experimental condensed matter physics.
