Department of Physics graduate student Kalpani Werellapatha received a Student Poster Prize at the 2015 Advanced Photon Source/Center for Nanoscale Materials Users Meeting at Argonne National Laboratory in May. Her poster was titled "X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) Study of Sorption Mechanisms of Cd(II) to Hematite (α-Fe2O3) Nano Particles with Varying Size and pH Environment."
Werellapatha is advised by Prof. Bruce Bunker.
