Dissertation awards given to Berry and Rastovski

Two students were selected to receive this year's Department of Physics Graduate Research and Student Dissertation Awards.

The first recipient is Douglas Berry, PhD, who was advised by Professors Colin Jessop and Nancy Marinelli. His thesis was titled, “Evidence of the Higgs Boson Decaying to Two Photons.”

The second recipient is Catherine Rastovski, PhD, who was advised by Professor Morten Eskildsen. “Metastable Vortex Lattice Dynamics Studied by Small Angle Neutron Scattering,” was the title of her thesis.
