Visiting Professor Shelly Lesher gives introductory talk

Professor Shelly Lesher presented “Here, there, everywhere: Introduction to Nuclear Science” to the high school students attending the Physics of Atomic Nuclei summer education program at Notre Dame on June 18. The program is an educational outreach of the NSF-funded Physics Frontier Center Joint Institute of Nuclear Astrophysics.

Lesher is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (UW-L) spending summers doing research with her students as a Visiting Professor at the University of Notre Dame. Every summer she brings along undergraduate students from UW-L to get hands on experience at the Nuclear Science Laboratory at Notre Dame. Lesher is supported by the Nuclear Science Laboratory and NSF Grants PHY-08-22648 and PHY-12-05412.
