Project GRAND is a cosmic ray detector array located immediately north of the Notre Dame campus providing excellent research experience allowing the development of skills in data analyses as well as with the electronics and detectors. Examples of GRAND's investigations include solar acceleration of energetic protons, Forbush decreases, and weather effects on muon flux. GRAND has been in operation for over 20 years with a large archived database which can be used for cosmic ray studies of one's choosing. Research with GRAND provides students with an opportunity to develop and explore their own research ideas in cosmic rays. Additional information is available at
