Special Winter Seminar Series - Quantum Computing and Information
Quantum Computation for Strong Interactions
Paulo Bedaque
University of Maryland
The possibility of having practical quantum computers in the near future naturally poses the question: can they be used for science? If they can, how? We point out that physics and, in particular, the theory of strong interactions, is a near perfect terrain for early quantum computer applications. We review the set of ideas put forward to bring this program to fruition and the many open problems in the field.
All interested persons are invited to attend remotely—email physics@nd.edu for information.
