Lincoln wins 2017 Gemant Award from AIP

Donald Lincoln

Dr. Donald Lincoln, Fermilab senior physicist and longtime guest professor in ND Physics, has won the 2017 Gemant Award from the American Institute of Physics (AIP). This annual prize recognizes significant contributions to the cultural, artistic, or humanistic dimension of physics.

In addition to his research at Fermilab, Lincoln hosts particle physics videos for their YouTube channel—the most popular of which as almost three million views.  He also has more than 1,000 publications.

The Gemant Award committee selected Lincoln for “over 20 years of enthusiastic and tireless communication of particle and cosmological physics to diverse audiences through public lectures, book, videos and articles, especially those aimed at physics educators.”
