Department is represented at GSU Symposium

On Wednesday, February 27 the Department of Physics will be represented by two people at the GSU Symposium. The Graduate Student Union sponsors this annual event designed to showcase innovative graduate and postdoctoral research at Notre Dame.

Graduate student Ed Lamere will present "Morphology effects in electronic properties of GaAs." Lamere is advised by Prof. Sylwia Ptasinska.

Postdoctoral research fellow Kat Barger will present "Ionized Gas Revealed in the Magellanic Bridge Tidal Remnant: Characterizing the Gas and the Escaping Ionizing Radiation around Dwarf Galaxies." Barger works with Prof. Chris Howk.

The event is from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Jordan Hall of Science Galleria area. Cash prizes will be awarded.
