Axions, Neutrinos and Baryogenesis

he axion was proposed in the 1970s as a solution to the Strong CP problem. It was subsequently realized that axions could also comprise the dark matter that dominates the energy density of our universe. We discuss ways in which the cosmological evolution may also be related to another mystery: the generation of the observed matter/anti-matter asymmetry. In the most economical version of this story, it turns out that the origin of neutrino masses can play an important role.
