2018 Research & Dissertation Awards announced

Each year, the department recognizes a PhD student with the Research & Dissertation Award. In 2018, there are two recipients.

Edward Lamere is being recognized for his thesis "Proton induced reactions on molybdenum: Implications for medical 99mTc production", under the direction of Prof. Manoel Couder. Dr. Lamere has a postdoc position in the nuclear physics group at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Anna Woodard is being recognized for her thesis "Effective field theory interpretation for measurements of top quark pair-production in association with a W or Z boson", under the direction of Prof. Kevin Lannon. Dr. Woodard is a postdoc at the University of Chicago Computation Institute.
