Discovery through time
Prof. Frank Golf
Department of Physics and Astronomy
University of Nebraska
Albert Einstein is credited with saying that time is the only reason that everything doesn’t happen at once. Together, we'll take a journey to understanding where particle physics is today and how novel detectors capable of precision timing measurements will help to part the veil on the mysteries of the past and future of the universe. Through this talk, we will explore new opportunities and challenges for the discovery of new physics at the electroweak scale with the wealth of incoming data at CERN's Large Hadron Collider.
