Low Mass New Physics with the LHC

Beam energies and dataset sizes at the Large Hadron Collider continue to rise, greatly increasing the sensitivity of many searches for rare processes and new particles. However, these gains have come at the cost of increased background production, which can make searches for some particularly light particles more difficult. To counteract this effect, special techniques have been developed for retaining events of interest. In this talk I motivate and present analyses which use such techniques to probe low mass signatures which could appear beyond the standard model, specifically in the multi-quark final state.
