Several Department of Physics & Astronomy graduate students have been recognized with awards this academic year.

Department of Physics and Astronomy Research & Dissertation Award

This year's recipient is Kelci Mohrman, for her thesis titled:  "Search for new physics impacting associated top production in multilepton final states using the framework of effective field theory" prepared under the direction of Prof. Kevin Lannon.

Kaneb Center Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award

This award from the Kaneb Center for Teaching & Learning, recognizes graduate student instructors and TAs who demonstrate excellence in the classroom or teaching laboratory. The departmental graduate student instructors being recognized this year are Guobao Tang and Fabio Rivero.

CRC Award for Computational Sciences and Visualization

This award, from the Notre Dame Center for Research Computing, recognizes outstanding contributions in the areas of computational sciences and visualization. One of the recipients of the award this year is Patrick Fasano for his work on "Ab Initio Nuclear Structure and Electroweak Properties from Chiral Effective Field Theory" under the direction of Prof. Mark Caprio.

Larry O. Lamm Memorial Award in Nuclear Physics
The award recognizes students contributions to the Nuclear Science Laboratory. This year's recipient is Scott Carmichael his involvement in all stages of the Enge split-pole installation and commissioning which will become a major resource for ongoing research.

Cornelius P. Browne Memorial Award in Nuclear Physics
This award is presented annually to an outstanding nuclear physics graduate student. This year's recipient is Kevin Lee for leading the development and transformation of ICEBall to fIREBall.
