Research Interests

Prof. Toroczkai's work is in the general area of complex systems research, bringing and developing tools from mathematics, equilibrium and non-equlibrium statistical physics, nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory to bear on applications ranging from fluid flows, processes in solids, to complex networked systems. His research interests also include theoretical foundations of computing, non-traditional models of learning and computation by physical systems, brain neuronal systems and agent-based approaches to social behavior.
