Research Interests
Prof. McGlinn’s area of research is theoretical physics with emphasis on applications of symmetry principles. His current research interests include: (1) the structure of infinite dimensional Lie algebras (Kac-Moody and Virasoro algebras in particular) that have applications to two- dimensional phase transitions and string theory; and (2) the spin-statistics connection arising from the topology of classical configuration space.
